The actual function of the hydraulic ram attached to the brace will be reversed; since most rams are designed to do a job, not have a job done to them, but the method of attaching it will be much the same.
The systen above shows the ram with a short throw , ......while the unit above here has a long throw .
In both cases, each end is on an axle and is free to rotate to accommodate the rise and fall of the arc.
